What kind of computer must I have?

A

Your computer must have an operating system of Windows XP or higher.
You will also need a stereo or mono soundboard. Linux and some Macs are not compatible.

Are all internet browsers compatible?

A

You will need Internet Explorer 7, Lunascape3, Sleipnir2.3 or higher.
Netscape7.1, MozillaFirefox1.502, Opera8.54 or any versions lower are not compatible.
Please make sure to check the browser settings and make sure to select “allow active content to run in files on My computer” and “Play sounds in webpages”

What is the format of the audio files?

A

WMA (Windows Media Audio).
You can use any playback software or digital audio player that supports WMA files. The downloaded file will be in a ZIP format.
You must drag and drop the files out of the box or extract them to open.

What kind of digital audio players can I use?

A

Any Playback device that supports WMA files.
You can also use iTunes for windows to play it back your iPod.
SD audio players are also supported.

Will my mobile phone be compatible?

A

You cannot download files directly into your mobile phone.
After downloading the files from a Windows PC, you can play it back on your mobile phone if it is WMA compatible.
However, if doing so causes any loss or damage to your playback device, Cassette Museum® will not be liable.
It is at the consumers own risk.

Can I use Mac instead of a Windows PC?

A

You will need decompression software like StuffIt Expander to extract your files or a WMA compatible software like Windows Media Player for Mac.
However, your Mac for iTunes is not compatible.
You cannot use an iPod connected to a Mac. You will need a Mac compatible WMA player.

What happens when my download is unsuccessful?

A

Please try downloading again from the same link within 7 days.
Please be advised that if you go through the order process again, you will be charged twice.

The download link was not sent to my e-mail.

A

Almost immediately after your order has been processed, an e-mail would be sent to you.
If you made an error with the address you have input, an error message would come back to our server, and you transaction will be deleted.
However, if the e-mail address you have input is active in someone else’s account, the situation get a little complicated.
Please contact our staff as soon as possible.
Please also make sure that the settings that the e-mail was not caught in some kind of junk mail filter.
Computer e-mail may not be in the automatic receive setting which may cause a delay.
Depending on the POP server your e-mail server is using, you may need to receive the email manually.

Can the download address be my mobile phone address?

A

You cannot download them into your mobile phone as the files are quite large.
After you have gotten the download link on your mobile phone, you can forward that to your PC address and download it from there.
However, some mobile phones have a character limit, so please be advised.

Extracting the downloaded files was unsuccessful.

A

In the case that your decompression software did not succeed in extracting the files, please contact us.
If you are using WindowsXP or Windows Vista, you can extract files by dragging and dropping them into your desired folder.
You w ill need to get a decompression software on your own (Free version is acceptable).

I don’t know where I saved my downloaded file

A

Open up the search feature in your operating system and search “*.zip”or“*.wma”.
Folders with “*.zip”or“*.wma” in the name will appear.
Please check the file path there.

What is Download?

A

Downloading is to get programs of files on a server through the internet and save it on your personal computer.
Please be sure to save files to your computer.
Downloading is not the same as working online.
